The Beauty of Gyeongju As Discovered through Lenses

< The 5th Tourist Photo Contest for Beautiful Gyeongju 2011 > The City of Gyeongju is hosting its <5th Tourist Photo Contest for Beautiful Gyeongju 2011> with a view to discovering its unexplored attractions.

"The beautiful summer landscapes of Gyeongju's historical sites" is the title of this contest sponsored by the City and supervised by the Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organization of Gyeongju.

The contestants are invited to present their landscape photography (of summer, sunrise, sunset, lotuses and so on) beautifully blended with Gyeongju's history, culture, arts and nature.

The contestants are to send their photos by mail from July 1st through September 30th to the address below:

No qualification is required.
Maximum of 5 unpublished digital or film color prints only for each contestant.
No photos will be returned afterwards.
The City of Gyeongju shall hold permanently all the rights and copyrights of the prize winning photos.

Selected works will be notified individually. The Gold Prize Winner will be awarded with a certificate of commendation and a reward of 1.5 million won and 9 others with Silver, Bronze, and Encouragement prizes respectively.
This contest is expected to bring out great photos containing a different Gyeongju witnessed through lenses and thus open up to an opportunity to get a refreshed pespective on the beauty of the historical and cultural Gyeongju.

In addition, <the 6th Tourist Photography Contest for Beautiful Gyeongju 2011> is forthcoming in October through December and shall be announced online soon. Its title will be "Gyeongju, the Splendor of the World Cultural Heritage."
