< Bench with my name for the small smile of someone's face. > Last August 2013, Gyeongju-si's business called "Bench Donation with Memory and Love" in order to provide place for rest and remembrance to citizens and tourists.

11 benches, a distinctive cultural commemoration business in Gyeongju-si that is pursuing the practicality and beauty at the same time, with donated phrase "Celebrating the beautiful memory of youth with Seocheon" were produced and installed at Cheomseongdae (Observatory), Seocheon, etc.

Especially, Bench for the celebrating the 78th International PEN Competition that left remembrance with Gyeongju was installed at Cheomseongdae (Observatory) in Gyeongju. It became the recollection bench and citizens and tourists will recall the spirit of International PEN Competition and opening in Gyeongju

Nineteen benches with phrase: "Healthy life! Happy life!" were installed in Hwangseong Park secondarily, and those provide the place for rest to people who go to the park.

22 wooden benches and 3 stone benches with phrase "Commemoration of Registration to UNESCO World Heritage" were installed in Oksan Seowon (Educational Institution) and Donggung (East Palace) and Wolji (Pond) in Gyeongju (known as Imhae Jeonji, Anapji previously). Unlike the uniformed and stiff benches previously, these benches were produced with emotional design to add the comfort.

Gyeongju-si has been writing a thank-you letter to the donors of the installed benches, and will be doing this continuously. Further, installation places will be expanded to the all Gyeongju area including 9 public areas.

According to the official of Gyeongju-si, anybody can participate in the bench donation business and donor can choose phrase to engrave such as graduation, birth, marriage, 70th birthday, meeting, reminiscence travel and public relation of company, in the future. Since it has promotional effect, they will find a way for the companies to donate the benches.
